What My Junk Emails Look Like

Just for fun, I decided to take a look at the 99 junk emails that are on my MSN account to see what they think is junk.
Among the ones that were delivered already today is:
Meet Hot Kate- she wants to hook up with me, whoo hoo!!
A weather alert-that is a for a real thing so should not be junk
A Tax refund notice from the UK-oh wow how did I manage this?
A single dating site- hubs might object
The cure for toe fungus- wait I am checking the toes for fungus, nope.
Senior People Meet-again hubs may not find this amusing
A recipe for raspberry sangria- oh yum if I could have alcohol
Medication to help with good manhood- I won't try explaining this one lol
Capital One Team- I should click the PDF link -not going to do that
Along with all these rather weird things I have some good things,
Broadway in Chicago
Tea Time Magazine
TJMaxx
Skyauction
Kirklands
and a whole lot more
I am now going to delete most of these nnotices, do you check your junk emails to see what gems you have in yours?

Yes, I find that too, about 20% are probably good items that shouldn't be considered junk.

You only had 99 from how long? I have gmail and I am always having to go in and clear stuff on mine. But I guess since I sell on eBay, Amazon, Bonanza, etc and also have had a couple of online business and used an email to send things to my lists my name gets around. Thank goodness a lot of the Trash is Trash and spam or if you open there will be a Virus on your computer, etc,

I clean it out every three or four days usually. I never open anything I just look at it.

@BelleStarr I from time have gotten things in there of importance that should not be there, but I probably check mine now more frequently than this to have the backup not get too big. I prefer Gmail for my email though

I think they just do every possible combination, they obviously don't know who we are, my name is never mentioned just my email address.

What does that do? They still come to my junk mail folder. I would have to block the url and that is just too much bother especially since most of them change their urls all the time.

I know, some junk slips through into the inbox and some good things go to spam, no rhyme or reason to it.

Once in a great while but mostly I just delete them without looking them over first. I get a lot of social promotions of one kind or another from twitter, facebook, linkedin and others that I really need to go back to each site and change the notification box so I no longer get those. I rarely check them out anyway and then wouldn't have to delete so many. But, those come right to my inbox, they don't go to the spam one.
When I was off with my knee I took a couple of days and deleted 6k in emails from all folders which I had been letting build. I got down to around 900 and am back up closer to two thousand already. If I eliminated all those notifications that should get rid of many that I never look at.
I wonder whether those sending out the 'meet kate' and 'meet kevin' emails every get any replies? If not, you'd think they would have quit long ago. Course, some might be set up for automatic emailing and not have a person sending each one every time.

I always check my junk mail because sometimes "real" mail comes there. But then again, sometimes junk mail comes in the "real" inbox.
