Cold Pills

Ok, I have a cold, so does Donnie. We went to the store to buy cold meds and we were only allowed 2 boxes, and we had to have photo ID and sign a list. What is this all about?? Its ridiculous! We had to sign a list to buy infant tylenol cold drops as well! Whats going on with all this? I understand that cold pills with pseudoephedrine are considered a precursor for manufacturing methamphetamine, but there is NO WAY to dilute the pseudo from infant concentrated drops. No way. Do you think that this is smart or taking things too far?

It's probably an automatic policy, that if the label says pseudoephedrine, it goes behind the counter. That way there's nothing left open for interpretation by the individual stores and it may have something to do with protecting themselves against possible law suits. But it can sure be an inconvenience when all you want to do is take care of a case of the sniffles!

I think this is an excellent answer.

i think they're just being protective. you can also OD on most medications...maybe they're affraid of that as well. how many people buy more then 1 box of medicine at a time. i normally don't get through a whole pack while i'm sick. just buy bulk next time..if they have any bulk stores in your area...there's always a little more..
