Co-workers who make you look bad

No matter how many times I have been complimentary to the boss about my co-work, within 10 seconds that person is making me look bad to the boss. I also used to have a co-worker who wanted my job for her sister, so she would try to make me look bad. I am tired of this. In all my years, it is at this time in my life that I see it just never seems to end with people trying to hurt others. They feel no remorse.

I might have co workers who unintentionly tried to make me look bad in the boss's eyes. And yes, people can be mean to one another just to get what they want... Planning to get a new job?

Ohh..those whole lot of office politics, I am just tired. It's so irritating. I don't understand why people come to work if they wanted to do all these sort of things, less concentration on work and more on politics..

Just ignore them. They're just jealous or insecure.
Ignoring them is the best response to what they are doing. Don't let them see that you are affected coz they'll be happy about it.
