Wrong Number!

We all have dialed a wrong number by error. By the same token we have all experienced being the recipient of a call not meant for us because of a mistake by the caller. Most of us will just move on and not make a big deal out of it.
But not for this lady.
I have to call an employee. We have tens of thousands so obviously we cannot really personally know each and everyone. Turns out that the number given to me is a wrong one. I called at 9am and this lady answered, started yelling that she has received 10 different calls for this person and she kept on telling everyone that this is not his number. I profusely apologized and sent the employee's personal info for correction.
Looks like she was not done yet as she kept rehashing every single call that she received which seems like totally unrelated to what I am calling the employee for. Since I was calling in behalf of the company, I decided to apologize once again and end the call immediately even though I want to tell her that her yelling is not necessary, it was an honest mistake and will not happen again.
I would like to think that she just woke up at the wrong side of bed, or she was fed up with all the calls.

I think that was probably the case. I used to get calls from a collection agency on a car lease payment for a car I never purchased. After telling them, they still called and it is aggravating. Similar thing happened with a gutter cleaning service looking for business. Called every day and left a message until I straightened it out. I usually tell them I'm on the do-not-call list and that seems to work.
Sometimes your number can be similar to a business phone number and you get their calls. So, after 10 wrong numbers I might be a little perturbed.

I would be fed up too. When we first got this landline from the cable company we began getting all manner of calls for some woman. This woman had a lot of friends that had obviously not checked in with her lately and even several debt collectors after her. We would get calls all hours of the day and night. THis went on for months. So, I can understand how frustrating this can be.
