I have aches and pains almost daily, but they don't stop me from being able to do anything to the point where I don't even think about them. But, yesterday morning, something new happened. I was in bed, lounging, my daughter was already out of the house at work and I was just being lazy playing on my phone. I switch sides off and on to stay comfortable, so moving around isn't a problem. But, when I got up to go to the bathroom, my back suddenly "grabbed" me as I went to stand upright. My right side behind my kidney around my waist and a bit higher. The only other time I've felt something like that was when I pulled my back while flipping my mattress years back. I wasn't sure I'd be able to walk, it was that kind of pain. But, it didn't interfere with my movement even though I could feel it. The rest of the day, my back would grab (less than the first time) every time I'd go to stand up. I had been moving freely in bed without pain. Go to stand and BAM!! WTH!! I'm fine today, but geez, where did that come from?? It did it for two days and today - nothing. What was that all about?

It is amazing how moving or even sleeping wrong can causes us so much pain for no reason.

Back pain is too painful. I suffer a lot at times, for no reasons..no pain killers work..

True. Especially when you wish you could just pop it to feel better like you might pop your knuckles. But, it's muscles, so all it does is cramp up when you try to move to relieve it.

I have no idea what caused this pain. I was your nanny when you got hurt last time. K was just a little to medium sized boy then?

I must be a different Wendy than you think I am, Charlene. I do appreciate your comments, though, even if I'm not her. I hope you are getting along these days. I know you still enjoy your adult coloring books. Haven't seen much of you on FB lately. Your daughter yes, but not you.

It happens once in a while for no reason.

I know. I once displaced my tailbone overnight. Couldn't sit down for weeks. Had to have it manually moved back into position a little at a time. Not fun.

It does seem to happen ever now and then. I think it used to be called getting a stitch in your side. For me it aches like the devil and hurts to do anything, even breath. It may last for a couple of days and then all of the sudden it disappears.

Mine got better, but keeps trying to recur even when I'm awake and at my computer. But, it's not like it was. Still, I know what you mean. I wonder if that's what they mean by "had me in stitches" because you've laughed so hard, you pulled your muscles? I'll have to look that one up.

@jerzgirl that's funny, I hadn't thought of those two phrases as being connected. I bet you are right. Glad you back isn't as bad as it was.

Other than "downward dog" I wouldn't have any idea about anything Yoga. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I know exercise and stretching are helpful.

I sometimes get mystery aches and pains that usually go away.
