Day 297
Proverbs 28:12
Proverbs 28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
It is easy to point out all the wicked people in the world today. They litter our news stories with their actions. People are quick to point out who the bad people are in their neighborhoods and they are quick to tell you everything wrong with the people they elected for their city boards and mayors. They can’t find a single thing they did right. Where are the people who are just and righteous when you are exposing all the problems in your leadership? You can’t find them, and you need to think long about who they are because they have been shoved into the background.
Solomon saw this pattern taking place when he was king of Israel. In fact, wickedness has been around since Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. Man is inherently wicked. It takes the power of Almighty God to turn a person from their folly so they choose righteousness over wickedness.
As Christians, you have that power living inside of you. Jesus defeated Satan on the cross and threw down wickedness. With the help of the Holy Spirit you can stand against wickedness and live a righteous life. You can display the fruit of love, peace, patience, and kindness to everyone you meet. You can lift your friends, family, co-workers, and acquaintances in prayer, seeking their best. You can crush Satan under your feet and tell him to get away from you, and he will flee from you. You can stop listening to the lies and spread the truth about situations you know about.
It’s time to put righteousness on display, push it into the foreground and squash wickedness at the root and eliminate it from your lives. Let the love of Jesus Christ guide your footsteps and the words you speak, and show the world there is a better way to live. Put a smile on your face and let the love of Jesus shine through you.
Let’s pray: Father, help me to display the fruit of the Holy Spirit in my life. Help me show your love to everyone I meet and squash wickedness at its source. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

It does seem that way. They're there, you just need to look for them. You're welcome.
