With the budget cuts that President Trump is trying to pass, the wild horses of Reno, Nevada are in danger of being slaughtered. With the budget only covering 20% at this time, that allows for 27,000 horses to be secure. However with the count at 73,000, the danger is imminent and that doesn't count the 46,000 horses held in corals. There have been serious efforts to give mares Birth Control shots, but with the dwindling budget, it makes it impossible to get them all. Hopefully help will come from other agencies to prevent the massive slaughter.
The Trump administration budget would slash the amount to care for the wild horses removed from a range in Nevada by 20 percent, which could mean fewer government birth control programs for the burgeoning population and leave them vulnerable targets for sl

I get very annoyed when this sort of thing happens because an animals presence doesn't fit with human wants and needs. What gives us the right to cull animals because they are considred a nuisance? Surely we're intelligent enough and sympathetic enough to come up with kess drastic solutions.

There is a federal law protecting wild horses that the people of Arizona cited a few years ago in order to protect our own wild horses. I don't know how that situation came out as I was too busy with my family to pay much attention. But here it is if you're interested: (p.s. they could move funding from Planned Parenthood to wild horses management and no one would suffer since there are community clinics that actually offer more services than PP for the same price or free. No nasty attacks, please, this is just a common sense suggestion)

I am a horse lover @TiarasOceanView (surprise) and would love to have some again but with the 3 donkeys, that's costly enough.

That (maintaining the Wild Mustangs of Nevada and [I think] Utah) would be a cause I could contribute to.

."...a horse is a horse of course of course..." (Mr. Ed). It would definitely be a good cause @TheHorse . I can't even picture helicopters flying overhead shooting them down. Which is what has been done to other critters.
