The Wimbledom tennis open started last Monday and as always, I am rooting for my favorite tennis player Rafael Nadal, a Spaniard who holds his racquet with his left hand. I began to like tennis when I saw Boris Becker play. Becker was my first favorite tennis player. He was the youngest to win Wimbledon at age 17 years. Then after him, I liked Michael Chang, a half-Chinese and half-American who was the youngest to win the French Open at age 17 years. I also liked Andre Agassi, Stefan Edberg, Goran Ivanisevic, and now, the one I like most is this left-handed Spaniard Rafael Nadal. I just watched round 2 of his match against Mr. Young, and it was a 3-0 run for Rafa. Nadal has some idiosyncrasies before he hits the ball to serve. Even how he arranges his bottles of drinks in front of him, he does this with regulated calculation of distance among the 3 bottles. Have you noticed how he fixes his ‘shorts from behind’, pulls back his hair behind his left ear, then his right ear, then pinches his nose? And oh, have you seen him do his drop shot? He also exhibits his facial grimace when he serves the ball. I love it when he does that. I wish he wins this tennis open again. It is a joy seeing him play on grass court.

How come no one likes John McEnroe? Is it because of his "Serena William' should be ranked 700th" response to an interviewer? McEnroe in his heyday could beat the present crop of tennis players.

I liked McEnroe and his outbursts when his shots were called by the umpire. His colleagues were Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors, if I am not mistaken. Then John became a tennis sports analyst. He has turned bald now but he had curly hair.

I met Boris Becker several times. After he stopped playing he was tennis instructor in Monte-Carlo and one of our best friends took lessons from him. I am not at all a tennis fan.

@ridingbet I know he is blond including his eyelashes, as I said I met him several times. He was pretty tall, I would say more or less 1.90 (6 f. 3). He was born in Germany. He was very good playing on grass, but he was never very good playing on clay.

Boris B. is a boyish blonde (including his eyelashes ) who played tennis like a bird. He often ran across the tennis court to hit the ball and he did this with grace. I still imagine him serving his ball.

Roger F. is a good player. There is a quote that says "if you haven't played against Roger Federer, you are not yet a tennis player."

Players for Wimbledon wear all white outfit. The Williams sisters, although in white outfits, still display their fashion sense most especially Venus. This is one thing I like too in this tournament -the white outfits.

It is already embedded in his personality when he serves. I liked Goran because he is the tallest tennis player and he has magnetic eyes that can melt a swooning heart of a lady. Hahaha.

Nadal is a good tennis player. I like watching him play. I remember the year he beat Federer and Federer broke down crying. I was like,"Really, after all the times this dude has won he is going to cry". Nadal was looking like he didn't know what to do.
