That Was A Supersweet Cat

I finally found a dressmaker. Yay!
After discussing the design, price and timetable, I sat on a plastic stool to get the downpayment from my bag and noticed a black and white cat lie down in front of me.
I called the cat and was delighted when she came to me, so I petted her head.
She was also a vocal cat, so I talked to her, too.
Oh, my. That seems to be the signal because she jumped on my lap, or rather on top of my bag on my lap.
"Your cat is so affectionate even to strangers!" I said to the dressmaker.
She kept meowing and rubbing herself against my hands.
When I looked into her yellow eyes and talked to her, she looked like she wanted to climb up to my shoulders. Uh-oh!
I gently push her away, but her claws held on to my bag, so I had to lift her off and put her down again.
When I got up, I noticed cat hair on my blouse, jeans and bag.
Gosh. She sheds a lot, too!

cats were our first pets and i miss having them around. i had a list of places to go to and things to do that day, so i had to brush them off my clothes to look presentable.

@hereandthere I will prefer Dog. Cats, they intrude everywhere in the house, which I don't appreciate.

i was totally surprised at how friendly it was. i miss having cats, but we do have a dog. if you had enough space, what pet would you like to have?

@Sreekala when it comes to dogs, i like medium size, not too small, not too big. i also prefer simple local/native breeds.

she's a short-haired cat, and we have a tropical climate, though it's the rainy season now. i noticed she's big around the middle, probably pregnant. do they shed when they're pregnant?

oh, yes. they're easy to brush off than paw prints since i had other errands to go/do that day. i get to see her again after a week (if she finishes it by then).

i'm usually cautious with street cats and this was inside the wet market, so it was a surprise.

@hereandthere but i hope that cat is vaccinated with anti-rabies vaccine, because cats can have that bacteria as well

I love Cats like that.
In particular Persian cats.
Sometimes they will take their claws out but only in a playful way so as not to hurt you.
I can´t have a cat here because of our dog but just the same I still love them.

What a friendly cat! My mom's tailor has a cat but she's super duper shy. She always runs away when she sees us coming.

perhaps she jest wanted to come home with ya :) the cat here sheds year-round, though she gets a good brushin' daily.

she looked pregnant. she's just a common/native cat, not long haired or exotic breed. i have a feeling she's that way with anyone that shows interest.

@hereandthere some cats're jest that way :) i'd a tom (he 'twas fixed) that'd love the stuffin' outta anybody 'r thing. the breedin' don't matter, they're bein's with a heart 'n soul.

i like cats and dogs equally. i just miss having cats since it's been decades since we had one. i just haven't met such a superfriendly cat before.
