Day Trip

TiarasOceanView posted a discussion on here the other day about taking day trips. I responded to it and talked about how my family and I haven't taken any day trips in a long time. The last one I had made was when I was probably 9 or 10 to an amusement park. Well, my dad came in late Friday night, July 14th, and asked if my boyfriend and I wanted to go to the zoo on Saturday. We, of course, said yes since I hadn't been to the zoo since I was in about 1st or 2nd grade. Jacob hadn't been since about then either and he had never walked the entire thing because his parents would never stay out there that long. They haven't made any big changes since I was little but they did add a small desert exhibit and a giraffe deck. I was excited about the giraffe deck because at the start one of the workers told us that from between 11 am - 2 pm they let people pay $2 a person to feed the giraffes lettuce. I was very excited to do this because I love giraffes. They are in my top 5 favorite wild animals. Their tongues were really weird and their muzzles were soft. One had a very long tongue and it would search all over your hand and then grab the lettuce. It was probably the best $8 my dad has spent in a long time. I wouldn't have minded paying more for it because come on how often do you get to come with in feet of a giraffe and feed it. Also, got there at the right time to watch the feed their 2 alligators. I, of course, took my camera and got lots of good pictures. I, surprisingly, only took 261 but it felt like I took so many more pictures. I am excited to start looking through them and getting them edited. I will post them as soon as I can.
