The other day I was cleaning and decluttering. There is always a rogue crayon or two...or a dozen hiding in boxes around here. Well, sometimes I throw them away, sometimes I put them away, and sometimes I make something out of them. This particular crayon was a really bright pink, so I decided to make lip balm for my 5 year old. I put a small glass bowl inside a pan over low heat filled with a little water; sort of like a homemade double boiler. I added a little bit of shea butter and coconut oil, a few drops of vanilla and rose oil (for fragrance) and let it melt. I mixed it all up and poured it into a lip balm container. She loves it! You can do this with any color crayon. Crayons are non-toxic and have such interesting colors!
