Stepmum abused 3 year old stepson

I just read in today`s newspaper that a 3 year old boy was pronounced dead upon arrival in the hospital. It has been suspected that the young stepmum had abused the child as the doctor found bruises on the child`s body, face, head, back, stomach and even the genital parts. She really is insane! Although the boy is not her flesh and blood, she should not abused her authority by hitting the child like a beanbag. She even lied to the doctor that the boy had fell in the bathroom while playing. Goodness me, even a commoner could see the differences between a fall or abusements. I pray for the boy`s soul to rest in peace and punish the stepmum with severe sentences. What the xxx was the biological dad was doing then?!
