How much sleep does a puppy truly need ? / myLot

Hi, guys ! Here's the latest arrival in my home. A two plus month puppy. Does anyone know how long the puppy is supposed to sleep ? She's an active Poodle.

I am also getting a puppy soon. I think u should just let the puppy sleep, until it wants to wake up on its own.

@holdoors I am getting a shitzu x maltese. It is just born July 30 so have to wait for 7-8 weeks

They will sleep a lot of the time. Don't worry at times when they are awake you might ask yourself when will go to sleep again.

@cacay1 Yes, it is so easy for them. They come in from playing and immediately they are sleeping. I wish I could fall to sleep that easily.

I was interested in your post as I got a baby German Shepherd yesterday. I am sure they know how much to sleep unless we bother them with too much need of playing.

Like little children there is no set number of minutes or hours but they sleep a lot. Just let her sleep when she wants to. Soon she'll be active more than napping. She's still a baby so just let her be a baby.
