Do you answer calls from unknown / private numbers?

I do not. Anyone important is in my phone book so It'd come up as them. If someone else calls and its important they'll leave voicemail.

No one ever calls us on our home phone anymore. We have our mobiles programmed with names of people we know who call us. It the phone rings and only a number but no name shows up we just don't respond.

I won't answer restricted/private numbers because I agree with you.

@theinvisibleman I answer and say "Hello, this is your local STI clinic, how may I help you today? Do you wish to made an appointment?" I don't usually get to the end of my greeting before they hang up. Try it.

I had to stop answering our phone and let the machine take all calls at home. I never answer it unless they know me and I know them when they first speak, if they are unknown callers they can remain unknown forever as far as I'm concerned. No business messing with my business, so to speak. A phone call is like some one getting right up in your face. and that wearing a mask while getting all up in my business is just damned rude.

Yes, i do answer calls from a private number. i'm not bothered by it as i can easily hang up. Rude but it is what it is.

I pretty much agree. I screen all calls. If it someone you know or something of importance like medical, they will announces themselves and leave a message.
