Why do kids procrastinate ? I cannot stand it !

Well for sure, my teen does not procrastinate but my boy sure does ! I thought that adults are prone to procrastinate due to laziness but kids do procrastinate as well! Frankly speaking, nobody in my family procrastinate. All of us are eager goers, we are quick to get things done, hate to be delayed or to hold back actions. However my son had these bad habits: - delay to take off uniform after coming home from school -delay taking shower -delay completing his homework -delay going to bed -delay putting things back but.... he NEVER delays to eat when there is food on the dinning table! How should I stop his procrastination?
