My Sim 4 Character Simply Refuses To Die

I have no idea why this is, because they are supposed to die, but I downloaded a character who was supposed to be the adopted grandmother and now after 5 generations, she is still alive. She is outlived everyone and she is at the end of her life according to the what the age meter is saying.
I finally allowed her to give up her job as a detective lol... she can simply be the Nana that I intended her to be.
Anyone working on a Sims Challenge??

How interesting it is
The Sims is my favorite game but I haven't played it for a long time. I just don't have time on it. It really amuses me that this grandmother doesn't die after 5 generations Is it possible to use the objects to get around her and she shall die since no food.
