Tomorrow morning, I am going to make a phone call to the government dentist for an appointment. I do hope that the nurse could fix an appointment for me because I really needed the dentist to perform a full scaling, to remove the calculus in between my teeth that had widen with big gaps. The last time I visited the dentist was February 2016. So, it has been more than a year that I needed to have a checkup again. I tried to make an appointment on July last year and February this year but the dentist claimed that the scaling machine is out of order. There are other private dentist available but each visit would cost $80. The government dentist is charging $1 for the scaling task. That is WAY too large gap for me to fill in ! How much does it cost for scaling? photo taken by wikipedia

I have no clue how much that costs. Dentists and teeth can be expensive. I do need to go see a dentist, but with no insurance, that's not happening at the moment.

Here in Malaysia, insurance companies do not pay for dental treatments. All expenses are paid from our own pockets

Your government is so nice to charge only one dollar for the scaling task. Here we need to pay for it by ourselves. Normally it costs about $30-60 here. It depends on different hospital. Of course it can be much more expensive to go to some big private dental hospitals.

I am not sure about the costs but you need tooth scaling as soon as possible :)
