Recently my husband and I were looking around in a building we use for storage and came across a table that our daughter-in-law made before she died.
She and our son had a baby boy, but she died from a massive heart attack at 34. I'm sure when she made the table, she thought she would have many years to enjoy it and pass it down to their boy.
It's like a collage or montage with hundreds of photos covering the table, then shellacked. It's such a wonderful keepsake and I know our grandson will truly cherish it one day.

He loves finding out whenever he's related to someone. I think that comes from losing his mother. We helped our son raise him for 7 years, so I'm more like mama than grandma in some ways. He's my boy.

It's sad to hear that your daughter in law passed away so young but she left a wonderful keepsake. That table is beautiful and what a great idea she had

She and her sister made two for their families, so I'm so glad our grandson has the one his mama made. He'll really treasure that one day.
