I’ve had a busy week, so it has gone by very quickly. Today I will be busy too, running some errands. Post office, groceries, etc.
My grandson has been taking “behind the wheel” driving lessons this week and I have been picking him up every day. He will finish up his training tomorrow and hopefully get his driver’s license.
However, I worry about him driving. I’ve been explaining to him that about 50,000 teenagers are killed in car crashes every year in the USA. And thousands more are seriously injured. Mostly for speeding and sometimes drinking alcohol.
He doesn’t drink. Neither does his father, my son. I am thankful for that. I just worry that he has a LOT to learn about driving and looking out for the other cars and trucks on the highways.
My son just bought him a car. It’s a 2009 Accord. Yesterday he and his mother detailed it. Washed it and cleaned it inside and outside. It’s silver and he likes the car. I think it will be a good car for him to drive to school.
This year, he will also be taking college classes at a nearby community college, so he will be driving there every other day, from the high school.
He will start classes August 21st. He is in his third year of high school. He is my youngest grandchild.

Your grandson can only learn to be a careful driver by doing.

Even 40+ year olds arent "ready" to be on the road. Anyone can be in a accident, whether their fault or not. But if he passes goodluck to him
