I have been thinking of treating myself to a homemade spa. I will fill the tub with scented water, light a few candles, pour myself a cup of coffee (I don't drink alcohol), and sit back, close my eyes and just breath in the aroma of a nice relaxing lavender blend. I do this every now and then when I need to get away. I also add some soft music and I feel like I am in my little piece of heaven. The only thing that makes it different from most relaxing spas is the fact that I feel the need to keep a note book close by. Why? Because I usually get the best ideas while I am sitting there soaking and dreaming. If I don't write them down right away I will forget them and I will go crazy trying to remember what they were. Do you have to write down your ideas immediately or you will forget them?

Yes! I have learned by experience that I have to write them down. I have thought that I would remember the next day and I never do. So, I have a notebook right by my bed now I right it down.

I used to think I could remember them but soon found out I was wrong. I found my self becoming more forgetful when my hair started turning gray.

I write them down right away if I can or if not the memory of them comes back later. Fantastic photo makes you feel like relaxing and pampering yourself.

I though it was a nice image. I am terrible with remembering. I think my memory is broken.

Your spa sounds heavenly. I've always had to write things down, my attention span is about 6 seconds.

Yes I do need that notebook handy. You would laugh at me: I get out around the house, walking or weeding, its about half an acre back into the house. Ideas come to me then and no notebook so I'm mumbling as I walk, trying to keep that thread where I can reach it.

I do the same thing. I try to keep repeating the idea until I can get to a piece of paper and something to write with. I try to keep some of them with me.

I have to write them down. Nice idea to relax at home, but in my case, I do that with a cup of chamomile tea instead of coffee.

@HazySue Yeah, I'm just to not a coffee drinker. I prefer tea but those that doesn't contain caffeine or less caffeine. Coffee won't relax me at all. It'll boost my energy but not give me a relaxing feeling.

@toniganzon I am a coffee drinker for the most part but I also like my tea. In the evening I tend to drink decaffeinated tea.

It depends on how late it is when I jump into the tub. I sometimes drink Sleepytime Tea.

Sometimes I do. Sometimes I do forget them when it's no longer fresh in my mind.

I can't seem to keep things real fresh in my mind. They have a mind of their own and the don't want to stay with me.

That sounds like bliss. I've never done a spa. Yes, when ideas hit, I must write them down.

I've heard that when you're relaxed that's when the best ideas hit you. I also have a notebook handy so I can write down anything that pops into my head.
