it's still better to learn how to commute and he is old enough. just remind him to be alert about his belongings and his co-passengers and when crossing the street.

Hello @hereandthere he's definitely old enough, I've learned to commute back in grade 5. Not sure if he's alert with his belongings, but I've always fear for his safety.

I know it is really hard to change things what we got used to but it is part of learning process..In reality, anywhere and anytime anything can happen even if you did everything to avoid it..So, better have faith and trust him to handle things on his own, in order for him to make use of his knowledge.

Hello @m_audrey6788 It was really scary at first but it's fun when you get used to it. But for him I fear for his safety because I'm not familiar with the road he goes to on his way to his school.

That's how it is when children are so protected since they begin schooling. They don't get the hang of commuting. Why, are there no jeepneys which are easier to ride? What does he ride going to school, by the way?
Yes, just buy him that mask that can be washed for his protection from the polluted air.

He got used to it and they're both afraid of commuting. I can't blame him with the criminality going on here that's been aired in the news. @SIMPLYD
