My son's shorts are too small and tight for him to wear. He is growing up, bums is getting bigger, his waist line is expanding too.
Hence, I decided to reuse my old shorts to make new shorts for him. I had to change the gutters, shorten the big shorts into his size and sew up hems here and there.
He thought that I had bought some new shorts for him! He was pleased to have the new shorts which I had reused. Luckily he doesn't mind my lousy hemming which I sew by hand.
Do you reuse your old shorts or discard them?

@peachpurple I hate to throw things that other people can still use.

i use even the old worn out clothes and shorts. if possible, i don't throw away any clothes as long as they are still wearable.

I usually put them in a a bag and put buy the trash cans. During the day someone will pick them up.
