He Left Me Stranded

My sister asked me to come over and spend the evening with her Saturday night since our parents would be out and she didn't want to be home alone. I told my boyfriend I would need to be picked up at 10 p.m. and he agreed to this. He knew about this and was reminded multiple times that I would need a ride home. So when 10 p.m. rolled along and I texted him that he could come get me and I got a response saying that he was in the middle of something in his game, I was a bit annoyed but said that was fine, I could hang out there until he was finished. I figured whatever he was doing wouldn't take more than 45 minutes at the most for him to finish up. The only thing I had to eat today was a boca burger and a couple s'mores and by 10 p.m. I was hungry, but we usually eat a late dinner anyway so I figured we'd grab something to eat on the way home.
TWO HOURS LATER he texts me that he's going to take a break and hurry over to get me so he can hurry back and resume his game. It was well after midnight by the time he got me from my parents house. I asked him what he's been up to all night in his game, and it turns out that around 10 p.m. he and a bunch of other players teamed up to follow a monorail around the wasteland setting in their game. So even though he knew he had to get me from my parents house, had agreed that he would pick me up at that time, he decided to put his game and these strangers first and left me stranded so he could follow a virtual monorail. WHO THE HELL DOES THIS?? I am beyond livid. And he rushed us home, not stopping to get anything for dinner, and of course we don't have anything to eat. When I got home I discovered he's been drinking to boot. I need to seriously calm down or I might just end a 10 year relationship over this crap. When a man chooses his game over keeping a promise to his partner, there's a problem.
