I am a very sensitive person. I also try to live by the Golden Rule. I try to see it fromthe other person's standpoint. I learned this in my last marriage. We argued alot. I was guilty of feeling I was so right that I couldn't see his side of things. We are good friends now though.
I think that when we deal with others it is okay to gently disagree. No. I don't feel that but have you thought of this? I wish I could do that all the time. I think it is only fair.
Are you guilty of not always being fair?

@celticeagle He knew he was wrong. He will be back for a few days to take care of business and when he is here he will repair this place in the fence.

I realize that others have their own point of view and may feel that they are just as right as I feel that I am right. And I do try to see another's point of view. But I'm still right.
And no, I'm don't think I'm always fair, although I do make exceptions for my friends. I tend to support them in whatever they do even if I don't agree with them.

I do thing that we all let our feelings and words get the best of us from time to time. It is better to keep the open perspective, though.

Its a tough question to answer simply because I believe I am fair to a fault but what if another person doesn't think so?

What can you do? I guess they have a right to their opinion.

When I was younger I was ornery too. High spirited and passionate. Now I have Prozac under my belt and I am not so passionate any more. Tuckered out.

@celticeagle I'm supposed to take little doses of antidepressants for my Fibro but I can't stand being a zombie and have too many critters depending on me so I do not take them. Folks can just live with me being the way I am!

I try to see my husband's side of things, however, I guess I have gotten stubborn over the years. But, when he is absolutely right I do agree with him. Even so, it is a hard pill to swallow. LOL.

I know how that is. I used to have a problem with my ex just seeing that I have a side whether it was right or not.

I think most people are guilty of this to some degree, but I'm usually pretty good at agreeing to disagree. I hate how hypocritical a lot of people are. To some degree, most of us are hypocrites myself included but then there are those that are more so than most. We will never agree with everyone on everything that's just not possible but we can respectively disagree and understand there's a reason we all feel different about things. To me, those that claim to be open minded are some of the most close minded people. They are only open minded when it comes to their viewpoints on the world. Sure they're open to people being gay, or to someone who doesn't believe in God or those that are trans but they don't stop to consider why someone may not agree with those things. People accuse someone of hatred or being bigoted because they aren't open to those things, but not agreeing doesn't make you a hateful person if you treat them with respect and kindness despite those disagreements. What makes you a hateful and bigoted person is treating them horribly or like they're less than those who are not. I respectively disagree with a lot of people on a lot of different things but I try to at least see where they're coming from even if I don't agree. We live and learn.

I do so agree. Some open minded people are bigots in disguise. Like our president. He says he is one way and does a lot of theatrics but isn't really for it at all.

The only time I feel guilty of not being fair is with my son and I regret it sometimes. But I do apologize and I try to explain things to him.

I think that I try to see both sides but like most people I can be a little biased toward my own belief and feelings.

I think it's human nature to not be fair all the time. It's good that you and your ex can be friends now.

I am a follower in trivial matters (terribly easy going that way). BUT in moral or fairness matters, I will strongly show my point of views to those closest to me. (Not many, so it is OK
