How can we have a better world in the future?

It seems we are very close.

That is a beautiful and encouraging Psalm as we face more challenging times in the days immediately ahead but that will lead to a new and better world where there will be no wicked people or wickedness.

Imagine, what could happen if we all agreed to change our ways, get rid of all hate and all weapons and all be obedient to the true God and love one another? But there is no way that is going to happen. So yes, this world must go and be totally replaced by a new world of God's making. Looks like, it won't be long now! I was thinking of this verse this morning. 1 Peter 4:7 Authorized (King James) Version 7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 1 Peter 4:7 New Living Translation 7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

How do you think that peace can come about?

@1hopefulman If the world join hand in hand, we will have peace. No wars, no hating.

@jobelbojel Do you really think that that will happen? Do you think all terrorists will get rid off their hate and start giving flowers? Do you think North Korea will get rid of their nuclear weapons and give hugs to the South Koreans and the Americans?

Why do you say that it's pretty dim?

@DianneN As bad as those things are, they come and go. We had WW2, where there were some real crazy people involved and maybe as many as 60 million people were killed but that was 72 years ago and the world survived. Do you think there is anything different about our time?

@1hopefulman Duh! Trump, North Korea, Hurricanes, etc. All the usual stuff.

I agree, we need to turn to God individually as the world in general is going in the opposite direction from God's ways. Instead of pursuing peace, the world is armed to the teeth. Instead of practicing love, there is so much hate in every direction. Even in the USA with all its grand ideals, there is still division and hate between the races.

@1hopefulman I definitely agree with you. I know that one person can't do it but if a bunch work together with God then there is hope.

It doesn't seem that man without God's help would ever achieve that because they cannot be at peace even within their own countries or their own families. Many are coming to the conclusion that we need divine direction.

Absolutely! In general, we are so unbalanced and uncaring and some of us are out of our minds. If there is to be a future, God has to be totally in charge.

We are going to go through some tough stormy times but eventually the sun will shine and there will be a new world ahead which will just what lovers of God, peace, justice and equality are eagerly waiting for.
