Yesterday I went to the dentist with my teenager. She had her scaling teeth done in normal procedure because her teeth are still healthy and firm. I thought I could the do the same scaling procedure until the dentist checked on my teeth and she said that I had to go for deep scalinh treatment to remove the tartar under my gums which cost more. I didn`t know what to do, so I consulted my teenager because she is paying for the bill. She finally decided for me to go for it, I said ok. Then, after the scaling was done, two of my healthy teeth were loose which I was shocked, a wisdom and molar teeth. Another fee to top up for extraction. I didn`t know what to do, so I consulted my teen again because she is paying but I don`t know she has enough money or not. This time, my teen was angry why I could not decide on my own whether those loose teeth could hold on a few more weeks or have to be extracted on the spot. I really do not know what to do because it was a sudden decision that I could not come to a conclusion. It was not painful although it was bleeding a lot. My gum was injected with anaesthetic before hand. Was I wrong? I was afraid of making wrong decision. Should I rejected extracting the healthy teeth? Was I wrong for not making my own decision?

Generally, deep scaling makes your teeth loose as the gaps previously filled by calculus is removed and that makes the teeth loose. Give it a week or two, use a mouthwash, gargle as much as you can so that food particles are not in the mouth. Your teeth may become less mobile

@peachpurple No, use mouth wash once daily, gargle after every meal. Gargling with lukewarm and salt water is preferable :)
