A special breakfast.

Sometimes the best food you eat is due to some hidden leftovers. This morning, as we are alone (no Marco around), Leticia checked the refrigerator for odds and ends there and leftovers. You cannot have "just anything" when there is a worker around. She found mushrooms. A little old, so they were not to be eaten raw. She fried them in butter and we had toasts with mushrooms in butter. Delicious! There is a piece of cheese too that we haven´t eaten yet and later on she will make fried cheese empanadas. Other than that, we have several small pots with a little of something in each. We will eat today some buffet-like lunch so the we can wash the pots. Do you do that, once in a while?

Yes I do, yesterday I have checked the cheese box, I have breaded the brie and Camembert, fried them and served with a fresh salad.

@LadyDuck Leticia is now making cheese empanadas. The empanadas melt inside a thin dough

Sometimes, I do that. However, I always eat the food for one day, then I buy the necessary for any other day

I even use a spoonful of cooked rice. I can do a delicious omelette with that and with chives ot diced cheese.
