Lies and Deceptions

Would you still trust a person who admitted he lied? Today, it seems that one of the gems a person can possess is his credibility. No amount of money can buy it, but lies can be manufactured using one's money. Many people will believe him though he is an outright liar. Do you think money goes first rather than being truthful?

With your first question my answer is yes. The second question, it depends on the principle of the person. We have individual differences and we have different priority and preference in life.

I don't think anything comes before truthfulness. Your word should be your bond.

@RubyHawk I agree, white lies are accepted if it meant to achieve something positive.

@acelawrites I think so. I can see telling a little white lie to spare someone's feelings but That's as far as I go.

I wouldn't trust them anymore, our people are mostly deceivers and you wouldn't know it until it's too late. People fell easily for money these days.

It is so saddening that some people tend to brush aside their good principles in life in the name of money.

Yes I would be willing to forgive and trust someone who admitted they lied. The ones I wouldn't trust are those who don't seem to know the difference between a truth and a lie or those who refuse to admit to a lie.

It is better if he will swear not to lie again!

It depends on what he or she lies. But if it is a serious lie, I won´t trust again. Trust is to be earned. If it is broken, it is hard to regain.

So true, once a person made a big lie, you would not believe at once what he/she is saying.

It depends what the lie was about. Sometimes a person can tell a lie so as not to hurt another person's feelings and I think this is probably acceptable. To tell a lie to get one's way or to harm others is not acceptable. There are different types of lying.

Unfortunately, when somebody has money, every bad thing done is overlooked.

I agree with you, @Lucky 15. If one had lied, then his credibility is already tarnished.

Nowadays I believe money comes first. They will tell lies in exchange of money. They can benefit from that.

It depends, if he/she sincerely apologized and will not to do it again then I will give them another chance but if not sorry it's their loss not mine.

It is alright to give them another chance, and hopefully won't repeat it.

The person should be truthful first. Money comes second..
