Silver Lining.....

I just thought of something as I was writing a comment on someone else's blog and I thought I would share it. On my facebook feed I tend to find a lot of negativity mostly from a handful of the same people. My partner tends to be on the negative side as well. Personally I try to stay positive, but those negative moments can sneak out. But months ago I gave myself a challenge. Every time something negative pops up in my life, I take a minute and try to find the silver lining. Because, after all, things could always be worse, right? I gave this challenge to my partner recently, as well as anyone who wanted to take it on my facebook. The difference I noticed in my partner was outstanding. It seemed like she was a different person. She didn't stress as much about all the negative things that might pile up in a days time. Just now when I was writing a comment, I realized that i wasn't looking at the silver lining. It takes a lot of practice, but i challenge anyone to do the same.

You're are right, it is difficult. But with me, i dwelled on that negative. I needed a way to step out of that state.

I understand what you`re pointing out Yes..I also had those negative things in mind but thinking about it all the time leads me to nothing but headaches and heartaches. Afterall, difficult situations can`t be avoided but giving yourself some good ways in preventing or facing it will help you keep moving on

I agree, in my past i would dwell on nothing but the bad in my life. You're right, it leads to headaches and heartache. I had to learn to let go of some of that negative, and this was a good way for me to do that.

I don't like negativity and try to stay away from it as much as I can. I am that way with Facebook also. I very seldom go over there. Too much negativity and crap for me.

I agree it can be hard. In my past, i would dwell on that bad and that wasn't healthy to me.
