Though it is late, it seems right to write an update to my yesterday's post BLASTS before Sunrise. The blasts had occurred in a firecrackers factory less than a kilometer away from our children's home. I went to the site and gathered more news. The fire had started at about three in the morning. Fire Brigade was called and the men were extinguishing the fire when the blasts occurred. One of the men was severely injured with burns. Another man ran to our home and he was taken to hospital in our ambulance. There were other 6/7 local boys who were helping in the fire fighting were injured too. They were taken to the local rural hospital. By evening, one fire fighter was dead while three persons of the village were in critical condition. This is festival season in India, when firecracker manufacturing makes a booming business. But this business has its hazards is so forcefully proved by the blasts in the firecracker factories.
