busy morning ahead / myLot

I have to run over to my daughter's school in a bit to attend their "Fun Run". It's actually a fundraiser where the kids collect pledges based on the number of laps they run today. Her personal goal for herself is 15 laps. The school doesn't make a lot of money off of this fundraiser -- they have other fundraisers during the year that generate a lot more than this one does -- but they continue to do it as it's an annual tradition, it has the positive benefits of physical activity for the kids, and also gives the kids some ownership in regards to raising money for the school. I hope she has fun doing it. We cheered her on and ran along beside her on the outside of the track when we could.

They all wore matching shirts that they tie-dyed in the school colors earlier in the week.

Yeah, my stepson's school does that. I still have candy bars in the bottom drawer of the fridge from when he sold them last year! Occasionally I chop them up and make cookies.
