Freezing food

Once every couple of months or so, I love to have a day when I just cook and cook and cook. Batch cooking. I then freeze all of the dishes I have made and then they are safely stored in the freezer for the future.
It makes mid week meals so much easier when it is a case of taking something out the night before and defrosting it overnight, and it means we eat well as we're not just making quick food during the week.
Do you ever do this too?

It's been a tradition in my family to do this, l grew up seeing my mom freeze food and store them up for future use. I went in line with the tradition, l freeze up every dish and soup for future use, it's quicker for us to eat during the week.

Hmm... it's not possible here, our climatic conditions doesn't go with this. We have to cook everyday..

As @prashu228 said, most of the Indian dishes could not be frozen and heated up when needed.

I used to do that all the time with pasta dishes and when I worked nights my husband just took one out of the freezer and put it into the microwave and ate.

I made up some pasta and vegetable and sauce and then froze it, and am now baking it in the oven
My husband told me that I shouldn't do this, I don't know why
If it is ok (and I really hope it is going to be) then this will potentially save me so much time!!

Yes it sure saves money and energy and l don't get to spend too much time in the kitchen. I guess people will love to do that.
