A rant about inconsiderate people

I was frustrated enough that it took me an hour-and-a-half to get to work in Berkeley this morning. High-speed lanes-splitting motorcycles cause accidents, and accidents slow traffic.
But I was even more frustrated when it took me two hours to get home from work. It would have taken me longer had I not turned around and avoided I-80 West, which was closed for about 6 hours today.
MyLotters, if you're going to commit murder, and then lead police on a high speed case through several cities, PLEASE pull off of the freeway and wait until you are on surface streets before you get stopped and pull your weapon on police officers.
When you do it on a major Interstate, you snarl traffic for everyone around you, and cause great inconvenience for thousands, if not millions, of people.
Thanks for your attention, fellow MyLotters.

I hear you, but do not worry, California has a plan to alleviate this problem. Toll roads or tax people who drive the main roads that are highly popular and get us home quicker. What a joke, always taxes to solve everything.
They never listen to me when I say that is why they need to create more work at home jobs so more people stay off the roads during work hours. Besides, so many jobs will be going to automation anyway. Might as well have other jobs ready for when that happens or they going to have a huge problem on their hands.

@TheHorse Damn, back on that again, they shot and killed another guy in Hunting Beach, not armed, but may are may not have been reaching for officers belt. Could have easily just shot him in the knee, but chose to shoot him 7 times. I think police won, no one really cares about this and apparently most people want the police to respond in this fashion. I am just trying to figure out what happened to people because it is quite depressing living in these times.

I don't like inconsiderate drivers either although that situation hasn't been a problem when I've been driving before. I hate it when people follow slower moving traffic and pass at the last possible minute. Even if you are several car lengths behind it can be near impossible to stop from overtaking the slower vehicle before the lane opens for passing.

@TheHorse .. I bet she is first generation immigrant. Driving that we learn for clearing driving test is easier, but when it comes to practical aspects, it is difficult. You should always ALWAYS expect some vehicle to turn up from somewhere and cross the lane right in front of you in INDIA, even if they are on side lane and you are on the main road. My niece was on main road, the drunken guy was on side lane. Bro donated her organs. She was his favorite child, and extremely talented and versatile. She was also second generation immigrant, meaning she never drove in India. If people drive in India, they are likely to develop bad driving habits, and yes, lose their cool, because hey, we drive less than 1/10th of what you all drive in your lifetimes..everything is available at walking distance, and in general, we share a single automobile.

Today I encountered one of those "clueless" drivers who didn't even appear to be texting. I peered into her car, with a look of amazement on my face. She was looking straight ahead, frozen in terror. She appeared to be from India or Saudi Arabia or something. Maybe @vandana7 can weigh in on this phenomenon. It happens often in the Bay Area.

Hmmm... I will try to remember that, pony....
If I ever think about doing something like that, I will try to make sure traffic is only slightly snarled...

@TheHorse I wondered what was considered high speed when the traffic was at a stand-still the one time I was in that area... there was an accident at an offramp. We sat there for maybe three hours? I think... SMH!

@DaddyEvil I suppose Most high speed chases are either late at night or in the middle of the day.

@fishtiger58 I-80 doesn't go through LA, but it might have been I-5--often a nightmare.

I will certainly use this advice if I ever get to lead the Police on a high speed chase.

About 2 months ago there was a confrontation with Police on I-5 here in Olympia and it made for an interesting morning. Took at least another 30-45 mins to get where we needed to be. Yes sometimes people can be so Stupid and for what? Has something really happened that Bad in their life to think they have to be like this?

I think they need to be more considerate about human lives first.

Next time I plan a crime spree I will remember not to constrict rush hour traffic.

There's nothing more frustrating, than an inconsiderate murderer, who causes traffic congestion!

@kobesbuddy And if the vehicle had darkened driver windows, why had it not been pulled over long before? Those are illegal in CA.

The high speed chase resulted in a shooting, didn't it? I saw a bit about it online last night.

@TheHorse if we use a big speaker to tell him that...like we could make him stand infront of the large speakers and put the speakers on full volume and then yell throyugh the mic which is attached the the speaker...i think it will teach him the leason
