Very Late Night

Why? Thursday Night Football - Packers vs. Bears. It was a very good game for the Packers and a not so good game for the Bears. You could tell the difference between a seasoned pro like Aaron Rodgers and a rookie quarterback Glennon. Fumbles and one or two picks made big plays for the Packers who scored three touchdowns in the first half. The Bears finally got on the board seconds before the end of the first half making it 21-7 instead of 21-0, as it was looking like it would. The game went longer than usual due to a lightning storm that delayed the game at the beginning of the second quarter by 47 minutes. Being dark I couldn't see the rain out my window, but I could see it at the field, it was pouring, and the lightning was spectacular. All the players and most of the fans left the field, though some fans stayed despite being told to leave. The Packers got two more touchdowns in the second half and the Bears managed one more. The only thing I didn't like were the announcers. Before the game, they were almost dissing the Packers and hyping the Bears. Even all the spots they did highlighted the Bears and the Packers weren't even focused on and it was played at home. I could understand the bias if the game were in Chicago, but it wasn't. Then when the game got started, the players were in opposite uniforms. I didn't hear a reason why. The Packers were in their visitor uniforms and the Bears in their home jerseys. Totally different. Makes me wonder if the next game being played in Chicago will have us in our home jerseys and the Bears in their visitor ones. We'll see. For all their dissing of the Packers before the game, all the announcers did pick the Pack to win, which they did in a big way. Due to the rain delay, the game didn't get over until 11:20. A very late game. I had already decided I wasn't going swimming this morning due to the night game. I didn't expect to be up quite so late. It was a good thing I got a nap yesterday morning that helped keep me wide awake through the game. Did you see the game? Thanks for reading.

It was a very good game. Our offense and defense were right there ready for all the slip ups the Bears made.

@just4him if you go by the packers winning and being your team yes. But in general, scoring wise and the delay, it was bad. I recapped it today.

Yes it was a good thing or I would have been up for about 20 hours.

I love Tony Romo as a first year announcer, but I have never been a fan of Jim Nantz.

I was surprised to see him announcing. Dionne Sanders really dissed the Packers. I thought Tony Romo was okay.

I lived in Chicago for many years but never really became a Bears fan. I should pretend to be this season, just to give you a hard time when the Packers play the Bears.
