Shortening your writing.

Do you always prioritize a traditional writing (I mean, with all the letters) or do you have any preference for slang - which is not necessarily a bad thing - or word reduction? What kind of person are you when it comes to writing?

I think that it is important to know how to write both formally and informally, and when to apply each style. I think that slang is frowned upon in general, but when used correctly and in the right context, it may be beneficial. With the changing times, writing more concise information can be an important skill to develop. I find myself in between the styles.

I like to write it in proper English. However, these days you need to understand the abbreviations to make sense of any text someone sends you, it seems.

When I write things, and really get into it even if its not a story, I make my short writing to a long confusing paragraphs lol. I do tent to get my writing a little confusing when it comes to those because I get too details when I write something I get into. So I can be a bit confusing at times because I describe every little things, like if I were to write about fast car, I would say "a car that was grey and it's like the one with a spoiler the one that are like race car just the way I liked from when I was young was very fast," when I could've just said "a grey fast car" lol. This is just an example but when I'm writing, I think I only get a small detailed but ends me saying "just adding these few words, just this one last word, etc" and there it is, my confusing writing...lol...I think it's the way I'm doing now actually lol.

Personally, I only cut of some letters when I take some personal notes to remember something. For all the rest, I rather prefer well written texts. What about you? Which one do you prefere?
