Actor Jackie Chan who is currently promoting his next motion picture "The Foreigner" which will be released in theaters in North America on October 13, 2017 has announced that he has plans to make the fourth motion picture of the "Rush Hour" franchise. The first "Rush Hour" movie starred Jackie Chan and actor Chris Tucker in 1998. The movie so successful that two sequels came out in 2001 and 2007 called "Rush Hour 2" and "Rush Hour 3" respectively. What makes this announcement so interesting is that "Rush Hour 3" was not as successful as the first two movies. Studios make sequels to motion pictures when the fan base of a movie demands another movie of a successful motion picture. Maybe "Rush Hour 4" will be the conclusion of the movie franchise when it is released in theaters in 2019.

Neither am I. I would rather see Abbott and Costello reruns on television.

I Think the first one was the best. I wasn't too impressed with the other two.

That is the case with most movie franchises, First film is good and the sequels are usually rehashed material from the original.

Probably the last movie of the series until it gets rebooted.
