Okay, this is another image I took of hubby a couple of weeks ago. We were getting it ready to upload for a new work badge.
Yesterday he had heart catheterization. For people who do not know, what happened is that a flexible tube with a balloon end was inserted in a small incision in his groin and passed up through that artery to his heart.
He had contrast dye given, and the images were seen and evaluated by the heart team. He has blockages in at least one place that amount to 30%. That is very minor, and he will be given medication to deal with this. He will continue to try to eat healthy and be active, which his doctor likes.
Sometime in the next week or so an appointment will be made to have a pacemaker implanted to regulate the Afib. Bob is looking forward to that as he believes, and so do I , that his energy will be restored.
Today he has no real pain. He says just an occasional twinge at the incision site.
They close that type of surgical wound with a plug known as a Mynx. We were told he might have seepage, bleeding, pain, soreness, a hematoma, etc. So far none of that. It is a good thing and we are pleased. He is puttering around the house, wearing soft, non-binding clothes and not lifting heavy things. We may go out of town to get another tool and to turn in his prescriptions at the pharmacy. Lazy day for today through Monday.

@LadyDuck Yes, he is generally very healthy, especially for his age.

It seems like he is doing well. My sister has had the Mynx before and she did alright.

To us it just shows that he is an overall healthy guy, that just had this glitch happen, but he will heal quickly.

I am glad that he is listening to doctor's orders. My husband would not be doing the same. He is a go getter and does as he pleases. I know one day he will regret that.
Lazy days are good. I am still here and not doing much. Have to get Little Miss dressed and head to Kmart and the Goodwill. We are in search of a Halloween costume for her. Would also like to find a bed rail for her. Once we get her room done and bed set up I need it for her safety. She wouldn't fall far if she did roll out of bed. However, the shock of it would startle her and bring her to tears. Not something I like to see happen.
Enjoy your lazy days!

Being a minion is an easy costume. Yellow shirt, jeans or jeans skirt. Yellow knit hat with a few black hairs stitched through. Goggles made from toilet paper rolls and elastic. I am afraid I am not as good with a do it yourself bed rail.

@GardenGerty we found a costume at Kmart. It was a dog costume. Thankfully they had a sale on them. I paid $20 for the costume. Wow, I can't believe the price of costumes.
My children always had me put make-up on them. They won prizes for the costumes I put together.

He eats pretty well, and is active at work. We will add some more deliberate evening walks, I am sure.

Good to know your husband is following the doctor's orders. Also,I am sure implantation of the pacemaker will go smoothly and your husband's energy will be restored.

He plans to live another twenty to thirty years so I hope the pacemaker helps.

That is great news that he only needs medication! Glad there are no side effects.

Well, the pacemaker will help as well, but we have been mentally anticipating that since his stroke. Yes, he seems to be bouncing back wonderfully well.

Thank you. Yes, I help him remember because he was still a little groggy yesterday. I do not want him to overdo it.
