I don't like "The Beatles". So what?!

October 8, 2017 4:23pm CST
I was talking to some friends and we're arguing about music and musical influences and out of nowhere, I came to see myself as an alien from the moment I said that I never liked The Beatles. I know they were influential to a change in the music scene and bla bla bla , but I don't give a damn (personal taste) to them. How about you?

When I did my countdown of favorite Beatles songs and solo Beatle songs, I said more than once I thought they, as a music act, were overrated in comparison to their influence as a cultural phenomenon. I do like a lot of their songs, but I don't think every note of theirs was incredible. They made some really bad songs.

I loved the Beatles. They brought us a new type of music. Without them we'd only have classical and country music. The Beatles changed everything.
