Yowzah! What Hail!

Holey Moley! What a hail storm just hit us! I am soon making dinner but just had to share these pics with you all. It is like it snowed, but it is Hail all over the grass, some as big as golf balls! And as I put this through, it is thundering, earth shaking thunder, so more could be heading our way!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend? I had a very busy one. I will try to stop by soon to catch up here. Have a fantastic week all. Hope the weather has been milder by you? Take care!

Hi, Anna. Our carport has a piece of thick clear plastic where sun shines through and that dented in but the corrugated iron roof part of it held up. I also hate hail and in other suburbs around us some were the size of tennis balls ours were the size of golf balls. Thank you, Thankfully we are safe and sound.

wow! we seldom have hail here but they immediately melt. they are like pieces of crushed ice. i once collected (when i was in high school), showed to my brother (the one in UK) and then suddenly it melted away.

@bluesa if that happens again here, maybe in the near future, we will have snow. hahaha! wishful thinking.

That is crazy! We haven't had a hail storm in a while, but our last one was about that bad, everyone's cars and roofs were dented. It was insane.

@DesirousDreamer I am not 100% certain. I will have to check the news it has been a busy night, but this was a shocker. We have howling wind outside right now and I hope it is not bringing in more hail.

Hi there , we're still in spring and heading for summer, this is our stormy season. Tonight is chilly after the hail but tomorrow should be warm again. Enjoy your Autumn, sorry it is already so cold. Ahem...the weekend is gone

Wow, that is absolutely crazy! Can't believe that you got a hailstorm, and that you had hail stones that big! Those golf ball sized hail could have done some serious damage! Glad you weren't caught outside when that hailstorm hit!

@moffittjc it damaged a part of our carport roof, but it looks as if our roof is okay, we'll see if there are any leaks when a strong rain storm hits.

It was nerve wrecking, I have to admit to hear that golf ball sized hail thunk down on our roof. It sounded like it was going to fall through. Thank you, I was extremely happy that I had made it home from doing errands and my sis also got home.

@PainsOnSlate after the worst of the storm had passed, they were in the garden slushing it around, taking photos, shrieking how cold it was

That photo of hail is as big as a golf ball! Wow
That could do some damage if it hit you on the noggin So, no snow, but the hail looks like a dusting on the ground. Pretty cool
