One more day before SS Day!

SS Day AKA shoulder surgery day. One more day of freedom. My husband and I are planning to spend the day tomorrow shopping in Raleigh, about two hours from here and eating lunch at Shane's Rib Shack where we hope to enjoy the world's best ribs.
I'm nesting...getting as much ready at home as I can before Monday. I've cooked a big pot of beef/sausage vegetable soup, stocked the freezer, made a chocolate pie, cleaned the house, got my hair cut and colored, and made sure I have plenty of pillows and Ginger Ale!
My husband and I had a date night last night (the last one for quite a while~) and plan to sit out back in the shack tonight and enjoy a fire.
So I will probably be AWOL from myLot for a few days. Appreciate all prayers and I'll check in when I can. Love you guys.

Well, surgery and a sling for six weeks isn't exactly my idea of fun, but appreciate the good wishes!

Kharla, I think I might need the prayers more after than during! My husband will probably need some too! He's a great guy, but you know how men can be as nurses.....

I wish you the best with the surgery. I had two this year for different things and, while surgery is no picnic, it passes. It might seem like forever, but it won't really be that long before you are able to do almost everything again without even thinking about it.

@1creekgirl Almost completely. The last one was a little over 4 months ago and I don't even think about it unless I'm doing something strenuous, then it reminds me.

May you mend quickly from your surgery! Wishing you the best and with the food you have stocked in the freezer at least your stomach will be pain free.

Thanks. My husband is great, but unless he wants to fry fish every day, we'll be glad there's food in the freezer!
