Cute little thing

I have had this little oddity for quite some time. I thought some might enjoy seeing it.
This tanker truck "model" is composed of various bits and pieces of hardware some creative mind put together. I do not know enough to say it is soldered or welded.
The mind behind this was very handy and creative. I think I purchased it for a US dollar at a yard sale or thrift shop. My first husband drove trucks. My present husband has been a diesel mechanic and worked on the big trucks.
I am pretty familiar with the large "salvage art" as we see examples of it all the time, but I like this tiny truck best, because it belongs to me.

I have seen large and small hardware people. This guy could possibly drive my truck, if he would put down his trombone.

@GardenGerty Vince used to play the trombone so my sister-in-law gave him this.

It is one of those things that just really intrigued me, so I bought it. Wish I knew the back story.

And not something that could be easily damaged or broken.

I like the rustic appeal of it. Not all polished and perfect.

Cute! I was at a flea market earlier this year and there was a guy there who made motorcycle models from kitchen utensils... very clever.

It is amazing what people can do. At a motorcycle rally Bob saw a motorcycle that was full sized carved completely from wood.

It could be old, the parts are old anyway.

They do a lot of that around here. Recently saw lots of empty old propane tanks painted as Jack o lanterns and ghosts.

He has done some other recycle and salvage things for me, like turning an old metal gallon square can into a basket for things like salt and pepper.
