Dealing with a Termite Problem

Philippines
October 23, 2017 5:49am CST
A lady who was responsible for cutting our tree came back asking for another job. But mom recommended her to a friend of mine. Before that she asked him to do some cleaning on the back. And found a termite hive almost as big as a basket ball. Though she has gotten rid of the hive, I bet it's not the only one, I've seen there presence everywhere. Not to mention the wood that's been holding off our ceiling and roof would have also been infested already. I hope it's not worst as it is, or we won't be having a roof anymore.

Termites are really sneaky. They eat away and leave just the outside shell which makes you think everything is okay. I do hope they are not in your roof.

Hello @JudyEv They really caught me off guard back there and Iknow there is more inside the stock room. I wouldn't be surprise if some of them are on the roof.

@Letranknight2015 Australia is bad for termites too and new houses have a wire type of guard put in the walls to prevent them getting in.

our ceiling has this 'soil climbing around', i guess this is the house of the termite. we would sweep them with the hard broom.

I guess you have to find a way of dealing with the termites before they start attacking the wood in the house. Check and recheck before they damage your roof.
