Do bamboo plants require sunlight?

Bamboo plants which are dwarf in nature are kept in glass jars with water inside the house. In many cases, very little sunlight peeps through the windows of the houses. So the bamboo plants get very little sunlight. Yet I had seen in many houses the bamboo plants grow well. So can a bamboo plant still grow without sunlight?

too many bamboos into one glass jar, the oxygen will consume very soon. Then the leaves will turn yellow.

Thanks Behindtheguitarbar, so what is the ideal way? When I purchased the bamboo plants online they send them in these glass jars.

@sathviksouvik try to put into 2 jars? Or decrease some bamboos?
