File Problems

I went to approve Freedom's Cry this morning and found a difference between the publisher's pagination and my Word document. It took four file reviews for me to get everything to work out and send it back for the final file review.
I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my work. When I saw the blank pages between chapters, and the flow over from one chapter to the top of the next chapter, I had to figure out how to fix it. It wasn't easy, but I finally, by the fourth pass through the novel review, got it to look the way it should.
I will get the file back tomorrow, go through it for the last time, and then approve it as I don't see anything wrong with it at this point, but I thought the same yesterday. I can only hope that it's right, and all the pages are as they should be.
In other news for today, there was frost on the windows when I left for church, and from what was said at church, the temp was 26 F. Might chilly day today. It's currently 42 F with a wind chill of 35 F and a light breeze to go with it. The sun is bright and now passed from in front of my window so I can interact with you while my supper is in the crock pot. I put a pot roast, potatoes, and onions in it. Should be a good supper when it's finally done in about 5 hours.

I hadn't seen the news. That's bad for those people. The snow in Wisconsin has all been to the north. We did get a few minutes yesterday morning.
It should be. I'll go through it once more when I get the files back tomorrow, and then hit the approval button.

Glad you fixed the problems you saw..
It's 64 here but feels 34, least in the house (which reads 70 something or 80).

I want to self publish but you make it sound hard. I hope that its perfect when the next file comes in.
Its cold here today as well, in the mid 40`s. I am about to go out and walk the dogs.

It's really not hard. They give you the template so you can get the size and margins right. Which is what I use on all my books now. I was just surprised that using their guidelines, the pagination wasn't the same. It should be perfect tomorrow. I'll go through it one last time and then hit the approval button.
We got into the 40's around mid day.

It was a long Sunday as I got up at 4am to be at my sister's church by 8:30am. We had been on the road a couple of hours before the sun even came up. We got there an hour early!

@just4him - I have also written a few books and I know how frustrating it can be to make the final edits. I don't blame you for being a perfectionist, because your readers will notice every mistake! Good luck with your book launch!

We may be perfect but not always. So better we check them and review them as many times as possible. I do it without any reservations. We should view and try to see the things from the viewpoint of others. This is a difficult job. I think.

I check it as often as necessary. I'm sure I've got it all sorted now and it will be perfect tomorrow when I get the file back.

That's so frustrating. It takes a special skill to be able to both write artistically and creatively and do the tedious proof reading. I hope there are no further errors
