This morning a lady came from a home care place we are looking at for Mom. She was nice, and I liked all of the services listed that they provided, but the price was a bit steep for us. May go back to it if there's nothing else. An hour or so after she left, our family friend came to take Mom and I to Mom's blood draw/Procrit shot. Turns out Mom was pretty dehydrated, so they had some trouble drawing blood. We were there longer than we normally would have been. On the way home we stopped to get lunch at the Wendy's drive-thru, and then our friend announced that her parents wanted to do something for Mom since they couldn't come see her, so they decided after they heard about the chair Mom had breaking to get her a new one. Our friend took us home, then went to go shopping. When she came back she had some electrolyte water and therapeutic pillows for Mom, and showed her the chair (or a photo of it) on her phone. Our friend said it will lift up to make it easier for her to get out of the chair, and also recline far back enough that she could sleep in it if she wanted. She said it would be delivered on Saturday, and that the delivery guys would haul the piece of junk chair that broke away. Wowsers...
