The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree

My great-grandma turned 100 earlier this year. Two years ago, my cousin's daughter had a baby girl. That gives us SIX generations of living females in our family! Alas, I can only claim five generations in my direct lineage. However, if G-squared lives until my oldest marries and has a baby, then we will be able to join the elite of the elite. And, no. I won't tell you where the Fountain of Youth is hidden! So how many generations do you currently have alive in your family?

Four generations, to be exact. But, Ponce de Leon claimed the Fountain of Youth, was in Florida! :)

@kobesbuddy That's very true. We drink a lot of water in our home. Juice and soda are rare treats.

@Genipher We didn't put that side of the family in the paper because we all lived a long ways apart, but we did when it was five generations with my MGM, mother, myself, our daughter, and her baby girl.

Were y'all ever in the paper? I heard it used to be a thing to post such news.

Wow! You hold the secret of long life and many offspring... Indirectly, only 4 - I don't have grandparents anymore but I have a cousin who is also a grandma. Directly, it's just my mom, me and my only sister, then my mom's six grandsons. Yeah, the living females do not even continue to the third generation for my mom - she does not have any grand-daughter...

@Genipher Nah, she's actually okay with that... She has had enough of dealings with girls stuff over me and my sister...

@Genipher yes, though after reading the responses in an indirect way it is 4 coz a cousin has a grandkid. And when my kids were very young it was 4 as grandparents were around
