(RECREATED - don't know what happened to the beginning) Friday morning, my daughter noticed blood smeared on the front door frame. We immediately thought her ex was sending a message. Then Saturday, she found blood smeared on the front screen door glass. Again, WTF?? She had already bought WiFi cameras to use for security, but they didn't live up to the manufacturer's guarantee from the first moment. So, they went back and a new set of wired cameras with DVR plus motion sensitive lights were ordered and received on Saturday. We already have the motion lights operating on the front porch. They are battery powered, but are recharged by sunlight, direct or indirect. And they work well!! The cameras will require wiring to be run through the house upstairs and down. The DVR has been placed on the most central location directly next to the stairs downstairs. Once all the wiring has been placed, the cameras will be put in place. THEN we'll know who is doing what. I'm so looking forward to having something recorded, although if nothing ever happens again, I sure won't complain. (sorry about the editing - I have no idea where the original beginning of this post went.)

A great way to feel more secure and know what is happening around you.

Well, both the lights and cameras are motion sensitive, so they'll get lit up if they come on the porch and get recorded as well. Had to edit post - the first half vanished somehow.

So far, we love these. The pizza guy came last night and the motion light lit up the porch like no other light we've had. But, she's putting the camera up now to try to get as much of the porch and sidewalk as possible.
