Do you eat with your mouth open?

November 8, 2017 2:19pm CST
Today I saw a situation that made me think about cultural differences. At the mal, I saw a couple eating with their mouths open. I couldn't identify their nationality, but it made me think how different we are. Why would they be labeled as rude (as unfortunately, many people think) if where they live is considered as normal?

I hope I keep my mouth closed when I eat.

No I do not. I was taught not to.

I can't imagine how anyone would be able to chew with their mouth open without the food falling out.

No, I do not and that is a reason why I am not particularly fond of eating out.

No, never ate with my mouth open. My mother taught us to be polite while eating.
