Just another busted bulb

We were told that these led lights are good quality and could last a long time. But this is probably the fourth time a LED light got busted only within this year. Not to mention this was more expensive than the Fluorescent one. Looks like I'm just going to FL for a long time. There are other FL lights here that I haven't replaced for a while. I guess it goes with quality of the bulb. What do you consider when buying a light bulb?

I go for the LED light because they consume less of electricity. I have mine in my room which runs a year and a half now.

I installed 7 leds last year supposed to live 20 000 hours, and 2 of them did not lasted 6 months... The problem comes from the cheap AC/DC converter in the bulb.

Hello @topffer I didn't know you had to convert it from AC/DC something from the bulb. Too bad it wasn't as good as you think, how much did you bought it? seems like waste of money to me.

LED lights are the "in" thing here too. Our apartment management just changed all the corridor lights into LED ones, it's almost a year and seems like none has burned out.

We are also using LED bulbs but one thing I noticed is that its light gets blurred easily. Unlike other bulbs which do not change its glow until it gets busted.

Hello @prashu228 what kind of controversies? In my experience, they don't usually last long, not even longer a year.

i always check online for the review of the brand first. If the review are good, buy that led bulb, regardless of price

Hello @peachpurple I will do that before start browsing to the malls, unfortunately it also depends on the factory they made with.
