Blackbird

For several nights and early mornings now, we have been hearing this strange sound of a bird; the sound is like what we hear in the hospital, when a patient is dying. (When I worked in the secondary hospital, the significant others of the patients there would curse or throw salt outside the windows so the bird flies away. It is bad luck, or the grim reaper in the form of a bird.)
This early morning at around 5AM, that blackbird sounded its “eeeekkk, eeekkk” so what I did was I shooed it away, cursing it, and wanted to throw salt, but the sound diminished.
Then it came back. It did not stay on top of our roof, or our neighbor’s, but it flew around sounding that horrible “eeeekk, eeekkk”. I shooed it away again. Then I looked up in the sky and saw the blackbird.
When I was on night shift, I and my colleague heard that sound and we said, ‘another patient from the medical ward will expire’. It came true. (My colleague Miss EIA has the third eye.)
I hope you will not hear the sound of the blackbird that is like the grim reaper; it flies over and stays at the roof of the person who is about to die. Prayers and faith shall save us from untimely demise.
Have you heard this blackbird?

@ridingbet Wiki said that blackbirds are a type of small birds in black color, while normally crows, bigger, are called crows. Seriously, I never knew that there is such a thing as 'blackbirds' until reading your post.

yes, like an omen. did you watch that movie? i think it is a crow, though i haven't seen one yet. the sound is scary, and i would not even like to hear that, distant, far, or near.

though I don't want to believe this superstition but it is based on the experience of our old folks. I don't really believe this because its normal in our rural village.

I'm lucky that I don't have that third eye because I'm really afraid if I have that gift.

@ilocosboy having the third eye may be a gift and also a curse.
